We Broke Our Quarantine

So, this past Thursday, we decided to be sneaky and join the Kiessling's at their pool for dinner and swimming. We are technically still on our stay at home order until April 30th. But, we broke out. We all feel comfortable with what one another's families and we are all healthy. So, we just did it. It was GLORIOUS! Our kids needed each other and we needed each other. I took the kids at 5 and Vic came over about 5:45. The big kids jumped right in. Atticus is a great swimmer. Grace is getting braver and swimming SO good across a short section. Everly, who I thought would be so cautious, got into her puddle jumper and jumped right in. She jumped and swam in the pool to Stacey over and over and sometimes would get out of the pool, bow, step in and then jump to us. She would tell Stacey to get back "farther..a little farther...a little farther." She was a mess! But, Hazel. Well, she screamed and screamed in the pool. She was 100% happy to be out of the water and hanging out, but not in the water. I kept thinking she would calm down and she eventually did - about 30 minutes later. It was loud for awhile and I was not able to help with Everly. Thankfully, Stacey had Everly just fine. When we got out to eat dinner, Everly was SO happy to see their dog, Tanner, and say "puppy!" over and over and pet him and it was the cutes thing. She had no fear at all of him. We ate dinner, and the kids saw and Vic took the little girls home. It was just a great day! Then, the big kids swam again on Saturday. Then, on Wednesday night, Kristen Capener & Beckett & Kate and my big kids and myself met again at the Kiessling's house for a swim and dinner. It was also so wonderful! This time was even more enjoyable because I could visit more easily. The mamas sat in the hot tub for almost 3 hours visiting. The kids were out and telling us it was 9:45 before we finally got out. It was nice to catchup and be in the pool. It was just good for my soul, during this whole COVID-19 situation. So, breaking out of quarantine was great!
