Recently, Atticus has become an incredible bike rider! He struggled last year, when he got a new bike on his 8th birthday, with being confident enough to not fall since it was taller than he was used to. But, once this COVID-19 started and we got to spend some time working at it, he became amazing! He loves to ride the 2 blocks in our neighborhood (we call it "the big block") with his friends Tanner & Austin (while socially distancing) or just by himself.
Also, Grace has started riding Atticus's hand me down bike, but now we are on the lookout for a new one. Vic had some issues with putting the training wheels back on. It seems the bolt part is stripped so the wheels can't go on. But, before that happened, she was riding well with training wheels on his old bike (that actually came from Carter Strange first). Then, both the little girls are getting more interested in riding bikes. Everly is using Grace's old princess bike with training wheels. And Hazel is using Everly's old tricycle. It was really cute to watch them the day before Easter all ride at the same time in our cul-de-sac. And yes, in the photos below, Hazel needs a helmet and Everly's helmet was on backwards. But, they were barely moving. Also, please note that with Everly, we always have an accessory or toy with us. This time - it was "Fluffy the Puppy". I love that name so much...because there is no fluff to him, but that is what Everly named him from the moment we bought him at Kohl's one day. I love that silly girl! And I love this big brother helping his sisters ride their bikes. He is the very best son and brother.
