Homeschool Field Trip: The A&M Gardens Outing

On Wednesday, of week #4 of our "stay at home" life, we took another outdoor adventure to The A&M Gardens. We've only actually been there once before with Cady & David & Holly, the summer Hazel was born (but she was still in utero). I remember discussing names with both of them! They fed us a delicious lunch in the building there and showed us all around. On this day, we actually saw Cady as well while we were there and visited from 6 feet away. The kids had a great time...most of the time. Everly loved it most; she would look at every plaque and bend down to smell every flower. I really need to take her on a 1-on-1 date there soon. Hazel was also happy to wander around. Hazel & Everly both liked finding roly poly bugs on the ground. Atticus & Grace had fun, but got hot and cranky. They had such stinky attitudes as we walked, that I finally made them run. Of course, they both grumble at first. But, then Atticus realizes he can be "the happy kid" and runs and runs happily while Grace played the role of the "unhappy kid because there was already a happy kid filling the other role". They both finally perked up and we ended our trip happily. The neatest thing we saw were chrysalis' waiting for the butterfly to emerge. It was so neat! Also, I think the best part of the day was that EVERYONE had to bring a baby doll or stuffy. The girls all brought their baby dolls and both Everly & Hazel continued to feed their babies their bottles part of the trip. Atticus just brought a musical potato! haha! So, here we are below:
