A Par-Tea with Friends!

Today, my friend, Ashlee invited the little dance group that has been dancing together all year and goes to Pebble Creek Elementary together to come over to ride scooters and have an outdoor tea party. It was the first public official things we've done, other than swim with the Kiessling's. First, let me just say that Ashlee is the Hostess of all Hostesses. I only really have gotten to know her better this past year, but she is extremely social and has a theme or event for everything. She's so sweet and kind and has the most beautiful home. It has my wish: a circle drive. It has a beautiful front porch and is big and open and has classic taste on the inside, at least the part I've seen. Their backyard has a pool and a playscape and a little playhouse. Plus, her husband plays golf and they have a putting green which is a great spot to do things like host a tea party. They have a great back porch for entertaining and it's all just gorgeous and homey and nice. Her daughters dress in the cutest smocked dresses everyday and she is just always put together and fills in every detail. She's one of those moms that probably never takes a break and works all the time to do all of the fun things you can do with your kids as they grow! She does a great job!

So, when she planned this, she said she just threw it together. Grace and I showed up and the girls rode bicycles for awhile. Grace was VERY shy and quiet and it took her awhile to warm up. No matter how many strides she has taken in coming out of her shell, she still gets close to me and shuts down a little into tears when she isn't comfortable. She was ok, but sometimes needs someone to invite her to do something before she feels ok. Ava, Kate & Olivia are so sweet and they did include her in everything. And, as soon as she was comfortable, she was great! So, we watched them ride scooters for awhile and we sat on the front porch to visit. And then, we moved to their back porch to setup the tea party and let them eat and color and be cute. They played and played and then Ashlee got out the gymnastics mat and they did cartwheels for awhile. For me, I got to visit and it just made my day! So, here are some fun photos from the day. Also, you can see Grace's hair is crimped looking. Well, I think I need to buy an actual crimper because it was so cute! We French braided her hair into 4 different braids and then she slept on it all night and it came out looking like this. Cute!
