A Fun Weekend!

This past weekend was a lot of fun! It started out with Grace going to her first cheerleader camp. It was the A&M Consolidated High School Tiger Cheerleaders Mini Camp. Right now, where we live, we are zoned to go to AMCHS (many call it "Consol") for high school. By the time she actually gets to high school, who knows where we will live or how many high schools will even be in College Station. She was super shy and did not want me to leave at first, but thankfully found a friend right away in her group. It lasted 3 hours or so and then we came back to watch them perform. While it was cute, and Grace had so much fun learning some fun little songs and games and her cheers and dance, it was kind of a hot mess for a performance. But, she had a great time with her friends, especially Ellie. After that, Stacey surprised the kids by taking the girls and Atticus & Greer home for Ellie's 7th birthday party! The Kiessling's just recently finished building their pool, so with the heater, they could swim in February! Kate & Beckett Capener also came to swim, plus some of Ellie's cousins. She took them and I headed back home to play with the little girls for awhile. We spent time outside playing on the trampoline (well only Everly was actually on the trampoline - Hazel does NOT like it). My favorite memory was throwing dodge balls (gently) at Everly and hitting her on the face through the net and listening to her laugh over and over as she asked me to do it again! I went to pick up the kids from swimming and did lots of visiting that evening. 

The next day was Super Bowl Sunday. It was another beautiful day and the little girls, along with Vic and myself, took a walk around the block. It was just a sweet memory. Vic takes the kids on walks a lot more than I do. It's his thing to do after work with them and it gives me a few minutes of a break sometimes when he does. But, on this day, I joined them. 

Then, it was Super Bowl time. Atticus has been into football so much this season (again!) and was ready to write down all of the "all-time" favorites from each Super Bowl, as well as watch the Kansas City Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers 30-21. Patrick Mahomes (who I always My Homies to tease Atticus) was the MVP. It was a fun end to Atticus's season of loving football and trading cards!
